Area and Distance Measurement
You can calculate the distance or area of an object from the map search result window with a Parcel Map or LRO Map displayed.
- From the map search results, zoom in to the Parcel Level of the map.
Tip: Use the zoom in and zoom out
buttons on the slider to zoom in or out of the map.
- From the Map Toolbar, select the Measurement button.
The measurements window opens.
- Select the
button in the top left corner.
- Using the drop-down list on the right, select the preferred unit of measure.
- Select the starting point for the area you would like to measure by selecting on the map.
- Move the cursor to the next point for your area, and select that spot, then the next, until you have four corners selected.
- Double-click on your final measure point to calculate the result.
The area measurement will display under Measurement Result in the window.
- From the map search results, zoom in to the Parcel Level of the map.

A green flag appears.
- Double-click on your final measure point to calculate the result.
